Overall vibe:
A sophisticated, atmospheric take on neroli that pairs the luminous freshness of orange blossom with the dark, smoky character of black tea. Néroli Outrenoir is neither a traditional citrus fragrance nor a typical tea scent. It moves between light and shadow—bright bergamot and neroli on one side, smoked tea, woods and a subtle resinous darkness on the other.
The result is fresh, smoky, elegant, slightly bitter and beautifully mysterious. It has the brightness of neroli, but instead of remaining sunny and airy, it gradually acquires a darker, almost velvety depth.
Longevity:
Very good to excellent. Guerlain classifies the fragrance as high intensity, and the substantial tea, woods and ambered facets give it considerably more staying power than a typical neroli fragrance.
Projection:
Moderate to strong. This has considerably more presence than a delicate citrus-floral. The opening is bright and expansive, while the darker tea accord creates a persistent, sophisticated trail.
