FRAGRANCE NOTES "F"

Fragrance notes beginning with F range from fresh, brisk evergreens to exotic tropical flowers and resinous incense.


Fennel: A herbaceous, soft, aromatic spiciness scent, similar to anise or licoriceDescribed as aromatic, spicy, herbacous, licorice, bitter.

Fenugreek: A spicy, maple-syrup-like note with nutty and burnt-sugar facets

Fern (Fougère): Not a single note, but an accord representing a forest floor, usually blending lavender, oakmoss, and coumarin

Fig:  Fig offers a fruity profile reminiscent of peach and sparked with sulfuric accents.  Often described as fruity, green or lactonic. 

Fir: Fir is fresh, uplifting, and aromatic.  It is fresh, piney, resinous, or coniferous

Fire / Firewood: A smoky, charred note used to give a "campfire" or cozy fireplace effect.

Flax: A subtle, grainy, and nutty note with a clean "linen" feel.

Frangipani (Plumeria): An exotic, "solar" floral note that is creamy, sweet, and fruity

Frankincense/Olibanum: Having a sweet, woody and balsamic undertone, Frankincense offers a green, citrusy, peppery and resinous profile. Sensual and rich, the note is typically amberish.  

Freesia: Delicate flowers with a sweet, airy scent. One of the world's most popular flowers. It brings a nice floral linalool like transparency in compositions.
