FRAGRANCE NOTES K

Fragrance notes beginning with K range from creamy, spiced desserts to sharp, exotic citrus.

Kaffir Lime (Makrut Lime): A highly aromatic citrus note with a distinct herbal and "crushed leaf" quality.

Karakucha: A rare Japanese tea-inspired note that offers a dry, herbal, and slightly smoky profile.

Karanal: A powerful woody-amber aroma chemical used to add radiance and strength to the base notes of a fragrance.

Kashmirin (Cashmeran): A popular synthetic molecule that provides a complex, "fuzzy" scent—blending elements of musk, wood, and spicy amber. It is often described as feeling like "cashmere on skin."

Ketones (e.g., Ionones): Chemical compounds like Acetophenone (phenyl methyl ketone) used to create floral, almond, or pungent top notes.

Kewda: An exotic floral note derived from the male flowers of the screw pine, widely used in Indian perfumery for its sweet, honey-like, and slightly fruity aroma.

Kangaroo Paw: A native Australian floral note that provides a green and slightly honeyed scent profile.

Kiwi: A modern, synthetic fruity note used for a tart, sweet, and watery "green" freshness.

Kulfi: A gourmand accord inspired by the traditional Indian frozen dessert, featuring notes of pistachio, saffron, cardamom, and cream (prominently used in Tom Ford Noir Extreme).

Kumquat: A citrus note that is sharper and more bitter-sweet than traditional orange, often providing a zesty top note.

Kunzea: An essential oil from the Kunzea ambigua plant, offering a fresh, medicinal, and balsamic scent similar to tea tree or eucalyptus.
