Mace: A spice derived from the shell of nutmeg, offering a warmer, more delicate peppery aroma.

Magnolia: A creamy, waxy, and lush floral with a subtle lemon-tinged sweetness.

Maltol / Ethyl Maltol: The synthetic substance responsible for the smell of cotton candy and toasted sugar.

Mandarin Orange: A sweeter, juicier, and more floral citrus than a standard orange.

Mango: A tropical, lush, and peachy fruit note that adds a succulent ripeness.

Marigold (Tagetes): A bitter, herbal, and pungent floral used to add "bite" to green compositions.

Marshmallow: A soft, sugary, and powdery gourmand note.

Melon: An aqueous, fresh, and sweet note common in 90s-style aquatic fragrances.

Mimosa: A powdery, honeyed, and yellow floral note that smells like sunshine and pollen.

Mint: Ranging from peppermint to spearmint, it provides an instant cooling, camphorous sensation.

Moss (Oakmoss): A cornerstone of the Chypre family providing an earthy, damp forest-floor aroma.
