FRAGRANCE NOTES "Y"

Fragrance notes beginning with "Y" are limited in number but highly significant in perfumery, primarily centering around the lush floral ylang-ylang and the crisp citrus yuzu.

Yarrow: A herbal note with a slightly sweet and herbaceous aroma.

Yew: A woody note, sometimes used in fragranced products.

Ylang-Ylang: One of the most important and complex floral notes in perfumery, known as the "flower of flowers" or "poor man's jasmine". It has a rich, sweet, and exotic scent profile with facets of creamy custard, jasmine, banana, neroli, and even a hint of spice or greenness. It often serves as a heart note and a natural aphrodisiac.

Yucca: A desert plant that contributes a subtle, clean, and slightly woody or green scent.

Yuzu: A type of Japanese citrus fruit that offers a distinct tart, fresh, and zesty aroma, often described as a cross between a mandarin orange and a grapefruit. It is primarily used as an uplifting top note.
